1.What is a rotary joint
A rotary joint is a connecting sealing device that inputs fluid mediumfrom a stationary pipelineinto rotating or reciprocating equipment, and then discharges it from the rotary joint, abbreviated as a "rotary joint".
Composition of rotary joint:
Single way rotary joint - it means water inlet in one direction.
Single Pass
Double pass - enters through the inlet hole (elbow with a long inner pipe) and then flows out through the outlet, without leakage throughout the entire process
The above introduction is all about flat seals (due to their large usage, they are also the most widely used)
2.Categories of rotary joints:
Flat seal (mechanical seal)
Spherical seal (concave convex tight fit seal) is mostly used in paper-making, printing and dyeing
Line seal (O-ring seal) large diameter rotary joint (underwater oil pipeline - steel large pipeline water, small usage)
3.Application of rotary joints:
The amount of steel used is the largest. For continuous casting machines, if the temperature of the fiery red steel on the transport line is too high, the transport rod needs to be cooled. Rotary joints are used at both ends of the transport rod to cool the inside of the furnace rod.
Other industries also use it in this way
Either use a rotary joint to cool the roller, or use steam or hot oil to heat the roller conveyor,
