Introduction To The Production Process of Rotary Joints

The production process of rotary joints is a multi-step and refined process aimed at ensuring the production of high-quality and high-performance rotary joints.  The following is the main process flow for the production of rotary joints:

1、 Design phase

l Drawing design: Firstly, the designer creates detailed manufacturing drawings based on product requirements and customer needs, and specifies the dimensions, materials, performance, and other parameters of the rotary joint. These drawings need to be reviewed by multiple departments to ensure the rationality and feasibility of the design.

2、 Material preparation

l Material selection: Select suitable raw materials according to the drawing requirements. Rotary joints typically use metal materials such as stainless steel, aluminum alloys, etc., which require good corrosion resistance and strength.

l Material inspection: Conduct quality inspection on selected raw materials to ensure they meet standard requirements and avoid using inferior materials that may affect product quality.

3、 Processing and manufacturing

1) Cutting and processing: Using cutting machines, punching machines, and other equipment to cut and shape raw materials according to the drawing requirements to obtain the required components. This step requires strict control over dimensional accuracy and shape accuracy.

2) Bending forming: The bending forming of processed parts is generally carried out using hydraulic presses or bending machines. During the molding process, it is necessary to ensure that the shape and size of the components meet the design requirements.

3) Drilling and tapping: Enter the fitter department and perform drilling and tapping operations on the components according to the drawing requirements, preparing for subsequent installation and connection.

4) Welding assembly: Welding and assembling components that have undergone processes such as cutting, forming, and drilling. During the welding process, attention should be paid to the welding process and welding quality to ensure that the welding is firm and defect free.  After assembly, the main structure of the rotary joint is formed.

4、 Surface treatment

l Perform surface treatment on the welded rotary joint to improve the surface smoothness and corrosion resistance of the product.  Surface treatment generally includes operations such as rust removal, polishing, and painting.  Depending on the different requirements of the product, anodizing, coating treatment, etc. may also be carried out.

5、 Final assembly debugging

l Installation of components: Install other components such as sealing rings, bearings, etc. on the main structure of the rotary joint. During the installation process, it is necessary to ensure that the installation position of the components is correct and the fastening is reliable.

l Debugging: Debug the installed rotary joint and check whether its function is normal and there is no jamming phenomenon. Through debugging, potential issues can be identified and resolved to ensure stable and reliable product performance.

6、 Quality inspection

l Conduct quality inspection on the rotary joints that have been assembled and debugged.  The inspection content includes visual inspection (such as surface smoothness, presence of defects, etc.), dimensional measurement (such as dimensional accuracy, shape accuracy, etc.), and functional testing (such as sealing performance, rotation performance, etc.).  Quality inspection can ensure that the product meets the standard requirements.

7、 Packaging factory

l The rotating joints that have passed quality inspection are packaged and shipped out of the factory.  Suitable packaging materials should be selected to protect the product from damage during transportation.  At the same time, relevant information about the product such as model, specifications, production date, etc. should be marked on the packaging for traceability and management.

In summary, the production process of rotary joints is a complex and delicate process that requires close coordination and strict control of each link to ensure the best quality and performance of the product.
