Optimize Design And Material Selection To Ensure The Stability of High-temperature Heat Transfer Oil Rotary Joints


The methods to ensure the stability of high-temperature heat transfer oil rotary joints in application mainly include the following aspects:


1、 Structural design optimization


1).Sealing structure design:

By adopting spherical sealing or balanced end face sealing structure, the pressure generated at both ends of the sealing ring is almost equal, effectively reducing the wear of the sealing surface caused by the sealing load and extending the service life of the sealing component.

The sealing ring material should be selected from materials that are resistant to high temperatures and wear, such as silicon carbide, high-density graphite, etc., to ensure good sealing performance even in high temperature environments.

2).Bearing support design:

Adopting a dual oil-free bearing support design to improve the overall stability of the joint and reduce vibration and noise.  Double oil-free bearings can maintain good working performance in non concentric situations, ensuring stable operation of the joint.

3).Shell and insulation layer design:

The shell material is selected from high temperature resistant and corrosion-resistant metal materials, such as gray cast iron, ductile iron, or steel parts.

An insulation layer is installed inside the outer pipe wall to reduce the transfer of heat to components such as bearings, avoiding bearing jamming or other malfunctions caused by high temperatures.


2、 Material selection

1).Sealing material:

Choose sealing materials with high temperature chemical stability and elasticity, such as silicone rubber and fluororubber imported from Japan, to ensure that the sealing components do not soften or deform at high temperatures.

2).Bearing and spring materials:

The bearing material should be alloy steel or stainless steel that is resistant to high temperature and wear.

Choose high-temperature resistant alloy springs as the spring material to ensure sufficient elasticity and compression force even in high temperature environments.


3、 Installation and maintenance

1).Installation precautions:

Ensure that the interior of the equipment and pipelines are clean before installation to prevent foreign objects such as welding slag and iron filings from entering the joint and causing damage.

Maintain the concentricity and alignment accuracy of the rotary joint during installation to reduce the generation of vibration and noise.

The metal hose connecting the rotary joint should be made of materials that are resistant to high temperature and pressure, and installed correctly to avoid leakage caused by stress.

2).Maintenance and upkeep:

Regularly check the sealing performance and wear of the rotary joint, and replace severely worn seals, bearings, and other components in a timely manner.

Rotating joints with oil injection devices should be regularly filled with high-temperature grease to maintain lubrication and normal operation of components such as bearings.

Avoid prolonged idling or non fluid operation to reduce seal wear and abnormal operation.

4、 Customized design

Customized design according to the requirements of different working conditions is also an important method to ensure the stability of high-temperature heat transfer oil rotary joints.  Select appropriate materials and structural forms based on factors such as working temperature, transmission medium, and usage conditions to ensure that the joint can meet specific work requirements.
