1、 Basic Overview

Naming origin: The Q-type rotary joint is mainly named after its spherical sealing structure, using the English initial letter Q of "spherical" as the model identifier.

Main features: Simple structure, able to automatically adjust concentricity, self centering, and self compensation, suitable for equipment with low rotation accuracy and poor concentricity.

3、 Structural characteristics


Internal structure: mainly composed of spherical ring (sealing ring), column ring (supporting ring), spring, tube ball (rotating joint and equipment connector) shell and other components. The spherical ring plays a sealing role, the column ring plays a supporting role, and the spring is used to compensate for the wear of the sealing ring.

Sealing principle: Adopting a spherical friction sealing structure, when the tube ball rotates, the R surface of the spherical ring and the spherical surface of the tube ball form a sealing surface, forming a dynamic seal. At the same time, the plane of the spherical ring forms a static seal with the plane of the shell.

Support and guidance: Oil free bearings provide support and guidance between the housing and outer tube, ensuring the stable operation of the rotating joint.


4、 Using parameters

Maximum pressure: generally not exceeding 1.8Mpa, but the specific value may vary depending on the product model and manufacturer.

Maximum temperature: usually up to 200 ℃ to 400 ℃, depending on the material and design. Some products, such as Q-type external pressure spring rotary joints, can reach higher temperatures.

Maximum speed: generally not exceeding 100rpm, but some specially designed rotary joints may have higher speed capabilities.

Applicable media: including water, steam, thermal oil, etc.

5、 Maintenance and installation

Maintenance: The Q-type rotary joint has a simple structure and is easy to maintain. Regularly check the wear of the sealing ring and replace it as needed to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

Installation: Metal hoses must be used to compensate for the movement and vibration of rotary joints and stationary pipeline connections. At the same time, the concentricity and alignment accuracy of the rotating joint should be ensured during installation to reduce vibration and noise.
