Regulations for Safe Operation of High Voltage Rotary Joints

1. Environmental inspection

Before using high-pressure rotary joints, it is necessary to check the environment in which they are located. Because high-pressure rotary joints are only suitable for dry and windless environments. If high-voltage rotary joints are used in humid, windy, rainy and other environments, it may cause safety accidents such as electric shock and fire.


2. Tool preparation

Before using the high-pressure rotary joint, it is necessary to prepare the relevant tools. A fully prepared tool can ensure the smooth progress of the work. The following are the tools required to use high-pressure rotary joints:

3. Operating procedures

Step 3: Install the rotary joint. When installing the rotary joint, it is necessary to ensure that each part is tightened, and the bolts and nuts used must comply with national or industry standards. When installing rotary joints, it is not allowed to use strong wrenches or walking wrenches.

Step 4: Install piping and connect rotary joints. Step 5: After installing the rotary joint, it must be checked.

1). Check whether the connecting buckle of the rotary joint leaks air; 

2). Whether there are defects such as cracks, deformations, gaps, burrs, etc. in the rotary joint; 

3). Is there any air leakage in the pipeline after rotating the joint; 

4). Check for blockages or foreign objects inside the rotary joint. If any of the above issues are found, disassemble the rotary joint and reinstall it after troubleshooting.

Step 6: Confirm installation is complete

After all the work is completed, confirmation must be carried out. 

Confirmation should include the following aspects:

1) All tools and parts have been returned to their original positions; 2) All connecting components have been tightened; 3) The power has been completely turned off; 4) The site has been cleaned up.


4. Precautions

When using high-pressure rotary joints, the following precautions should be taken:

1) Do not use a strong wrench or walking wrench when installing the rotary joint.

2) Do not disassemble the rotary joint to prevent electric leakage or other accidents.

3) Do not use rotary joints in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, lightning, etc.

4) During operation, attention should be paid to protection and necessary protective equipment should be worn.

5) When conducting operations and inspections on site, it is necessary to strictly follow the procedures.
