Consumer manufacturers of hydraulic cylinders must understand the sealing technology in order to choose different seals based on different technical requirements. Seal manufacturers must also understand the working principle of the cylinder and adopt different designs to meet the technical requirements of the cylinder. Therefore, the two need to cooperate closely to reduce the probability of the cylinder malfunctioning.
1. When the seal is not installed, there are four dimensions to be noted. The four dimensions are: the inner diameter of the root of the seal, the outer diameter of the root, the inner diameter of the lip, and the outer diameter of the lip.
2. When the seal device is not working in the groove, the size of the groove remains unchanged, and the size of the seal has all changed. The four sizes are: the outer diameter of the root of the seal, the outer diameter also changes to the outer diameter of the groove; the inner diameter is the diameter of the piston rod, and the inner diameter of the root is the amount of clearance between the seal and the piston rod.
Hydraulic cylinders have different technical requirements, and seals must also produce seals with different technical requirements based on the technical requirements of the cylinder. If the oil cylinder requires a pressure above 25 MPa, a speed of 0-0.5 m / s and an oil temperature of 80 ° C, the requirements of the seals:
1. The hardness of the seal is 92-97 degrees. The higher the pressure of the cylinder, the greater the hardness of the seal. The linear velocity of the lips of the seal must meet 0.5 m / s.
2.The temperature resistance of the seals must meet the temperature of -30 ℃-110 ℃. Because the temperature of the lip contact surface of the seal is higher than the temperature of the hydraulic oil, the seal must be selected to withstand a high temperature of 110 ℃; and some central temperatures are around -30 ℃, so the selection of the seal should be resistant to low temperature -30 ℃.
3. Add gasket to the root of the seal. Since the pressure of the cylinder is above 25MPa, the height of the seal determines the amount of deformation of the root of the seal, that is, the size of the extrusion gap. Since the gasket also has hardness and deformation, adding the gasket is equivalent to reducing the deformation of the seal.
When the seal is under high pressure, the root reduces the possibility of friction with the piston rod or the inner wall of the cylinder, thereby reducing the chance of the seal being damaged by extrusion and strain. The relationship between the hardness of the gasket and the pressure is that the greater the pressure, the greater the hardness.
